Sat/Sun, June 4/5 - Summerfest 2016 2-Day Open Track Event, North Carolina Center for Automotive Research (NCCAR Inc.),310 Technology Dr., Garysburg, North Carolina. 
Capital Ford of Rocky Mount, the Virginia Section of Mercedes-Benz Club America (MBCA) and Apex Track Events will host a High Speed Driving Event on the NCCAR’s road course. This road course is ideally situated and features a 40 feet wide bi-directional freshly paved road course with a ½ mile straightaway, 11 constant radius turns and large grassy run-off areas. There is no competition for times or trophies but a lot of fun to be had. Virtually any car is fully capable of handling this type of event. You must have a valid driver’s license to attend. You will be able to download a technical inspection form that your personal mechanic will perform before you leave home. All you need to bring is this and a Snell SA2010 or later helmet.  We will have a handful of loaner helmets available at a first come, first served basis. We will have an at track safety inspection at the hotel on Friday night and at the track on Saturday and Sunday morning.  (You will only have to get your car teched one time for the weekend so if you get teched on Saturday, you will not have to be re-teched on Sunday. This event is open to all makes and models and you do not have to be a MBCA club member to participate. There will be a weekend of track time and classroom instruction with 4 to 5 sessions lasting 20-25 minutes per day in a non-timed HPDE set up. Car sharing is allowed with separate registration for each driver. This event is sure to sell out so you should register soon. The price for the two-day weekend event at the race track is $299. And the price for a one day (either Saturday or Sunday) is only $169.

Tidewater Sports Car Club (TSCC)
Founded in Norfolk Virginia in 1953, TSCC has a strong foundation within the local Hampton Roads autocross community and surrounding areas. Our autocross season runs from March through November with championship series events typically taking place on the 3rd Sunday of the month.  We usually host a novice autocross school early in the season on the Saturday before our Sunday event.  This is a great opportunity for new participants to get involved with autocross.  We also host higher speed time trials at Academi and North Carolina Center for Automotive Research.

Located between Washington DC and Richmond VA the complex includes: a two-mile road course, a 4/10ths mile paved NASCAR oval, 1/8th mile drag strip, festival concert venue and more. Our 36,600 square foot building will include meeting space, hospitality and a full service kitchen and bar.
