Sat, Jan 19 - Winter Drift Points Series - Event 2, HobbyTown Scaletopia RC Drift Lounge, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm, 12761 Jefferson Avenue, Newport News. Join us for the second event of our Winter RC Drift Tandem Series! Event takes place at our indoor drift track which is located right next to the store. Doors open at 10 am and the competition portion of the event starts at 1 pm. RWD 1/10th scale drift cars only. Standard track entry fee applies for this event. Drivers will be awarded points based on their finish position at each event. Lowest series event score will be dropped at the conclusion of the series. Top 3 drivers that have the most points at the end of the series win. Trophies will be awarded for top 3 finishers at each series event. Mark your calendars and come get sideways!

The biggest indoor car show in Virginia is back! The event is open to all Hot Rods, Customs, Classics, Modern Muscle, and motorcycles. The show is the area's biggest celebration of classic cars and 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s culture. Regional and national celebrities come together for this show every year! Part of the SCCA's Southeast Division (SEDiv), which consists of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. Tidewater Sports Car Club (TSCC)
Founded in Norfolk Virginia in 1953, TSCC has a strong foundation within the local Hampton Roads autocross community and surrounding areas. Our autocross season runs from March through November with championship series events typically taking place on the 3rd Sunday of the month. We usually host a novice autocross school early in the season on the Saturday before our Sunday event. This is a great opportunity for new participants to get involved with autocross. We also host higher speed time trials at Academi and North Carolina Center for Automotive Research.

This is just a temporary meet up location until we can decide on a more permanent meet location. We can shorten this by half by taking the 64. But we can decide this when we meet and figure out how big the group is going to be.

Tidewater Sports Car Club (TSCC)
Founded in Norfolk Virginia in 1953, TSCC has a strong foundation within the local Hampton Roads autocross community and surrounding areas. Our autocross season runs from March through November with championship series events typically taking place on the 3rd Sunday of the month. We usually host a novice autocross school early in the season on the Saturday before our Sunday event. This is a great opportunity for new participants to get involved with autocross. We also host higher speed time trials at Academi and North Carolina Center for Automotive Research.

We have been asked to participate in a mini car show for Leonard "Butch" Waller. He is a retired mechanic and owner of Waller’s garage. He is known by friends and family as “Butch” and he currently is a hospice patient residing at Chesapeake Place Assisted living facility. The Lorianne Bethea Hospice Foundation will be making his wish come true. As his nurse said, I feel that this will brighten his day and will bring him joy and uplift his spirits as well as the other residents at this facility. He enjoys country music from the 80’s and 90’s which he used to have playing while he worked on his cars. He also has a passion for Ford vehicles especially the Ford Fairlane. Due to his debilitating condition he is no longer able to work on the cars that he once enjoyed, so to be able to bring these cars to him is a great joy for us all. We are looking for between 10 and 15 vehicles to participate and Fords are definitely invited.

Our Region includes all of the cities in the Hampton Roads area as well as several surrounding cities. We primarily host two types of events: Solo (Auto Cross) and Road Rally.

Tidewater Sports Car Club (TSCC)
Founded in Norfolk Virginia in 1953, TSCC has a strong foundation within the local Hampton Roads autocross community and surrounding areas. Our autocross season runs from March through November with championship series events typically taking place on the 3rd Sunday of the month. We usually host a novice autocross school early in the season on the Saturday before our Sunday event. This is a great opportunity for new participants to get involved with autocross. We also host higher speed time trials at Academi and North Carolina Center for Automotive Research.

Bill Sawyer's Virginia Motor Speedway
4426 Tidewater Trail, Jamaica, VA
A ½-mile clay surface with 14 degree banking in both corners and 4 degrees on the front and back stretch. Divisions: Victory Lap Late Model, Truckin Thunder Sportsman, Budweiser Modifieds, Limited Stock Car, Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, World of Outlaws Late Models, World of Outlaws Sprint Cars and mud bogs. Virginia Motor Speedway runs on select Saturday nights April through the first week of October, Closed on RIR NASCAR weekends (check website for schedule of events).

"The Toughest Short Track in the South," Chesterfield County's favorite family-friendly venue! Locally owned and operated, Southside Speedway has been a fixture in Chesterfield County since 1959. With a paved 1/3 mile oval track located on Genito Road, and featuring races from six different divisions, the speedway draws drivers both locally and throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

Richmond Dragway is a 1/4 mile International Hot Rod Association sanctioned drag racing facility in Sandston, VA. The site features 130 acres with a full service concession stand, VP Fuel Station, and a 3 story Timing and Scoring tower.

Richmond International Raceway (RIR)

Sun, Jan 6 / DR Track Attack, 1 - 4:00 pm, No Experience Needed! This is a unique beginner-level driving experience designed to familiarize you with our road course and introduce basic high performance driving concepts. It includes classroom instruction with a professional driving coach and several 20-30 minute on track sessions in your car. Sessions feature paced laps for those who just want to experience what it's like on a real road course with no helmets and no passing.
