Wed, Jun 28 - 2023 Wednesday Franklin Cruise-In, 4:00 - 7:00 pm, Main Street Parking Lot in front of the Fire Station, downtown Franklin. Mark your calendars for the 2023 Franklin Cruise-In season. Weekly cruise-ins will continue each Wednesday until October 11, 2023. The Franklin Independence Day Celebration with the City of Franklin and Franklin Experience will be on Wednesday, June 28th with fireworks and a live band. The Grand Finale will be on Saturday, October 14, 2023. Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

They are open during these hours, so enjoy all the great eats and drinks they provide, including their amazing ice cream and handmade cones! Thu, Jun 29 - Thursday Night Cruise-In at the DQ, 3:00 pm - ?, 4024 Portsmouth Blvd., Chesapeake. So if you're not doing anything on Thursday afternoons get those cars out and come up to DQ. You can go in and order food and bring it out to eat. Make sure you bring a chair because they've taken the tables and chairs in. People start getting there around 2:00 and hang out for 3-4 hours or so. The weather is starting to get nice and there's not a whole lot of places we can go. This is one of the few places we can.

Sat, Jul 1 - Fort Monroe Cruise In, 6 - 9:00 pm, 81 Patch Rd, Fort Monroe, Hampton. With the cooler weather, we are using the bigger lot with the light poles. All makes and models welcome. Kid and pet friendly. Please use the parking spots, as intended. As always, no revving, burnouts, loud music, etc. Please dispose of all trash in the dumpster. This is across from a police station, so mind your manners when entering/leaving. Speed limit is 25mph on all of Fort Monroe. Come hang out!

We have been asked to bring some cars out to show for the Independence Day celebration at New Kent High School on 7/2. NK Cruisers bring your rides out. We will need your cars to be at the lot at 6:15. After 6:30 you will likely have to park in the public parking areas. Space is limited to around 40-50 cars so please mark going on this event page if you plan to attend so I can have an accurate car count. There will be no room for trailer parking so you will need to drive your vehicle to and from the event. Sat, Jul 8 - Annual Summer Sizzle All Makes and Models Car Show, 9:00 am - 2:00 pm, Hosted by The Mustang Club of Tidewater, Cavalier Ford Chesapeake Square, 4021 Portsmouth Blvd., Chesapeake. The Mustang Club of Tidewater will hold our Annual Summer Sizzle All Makes and Models Car Show on July 8th, 2023, hosted by the MCT sponsor, Cavalier Ford Chesapeake Square. We happily welcome all years, makes and models of passenger cars, trucks, and motorcycles to participate in this show. This is a family friendly event, so feel free to bring the kids so they can enjoy the show! Registration will be on site and is $25.00 + two cans of non-perishable food per vehicle. The food will be donated to a local food bank, so please be generous. There is no charge for spectators, who will be directed to parking adjacent to the show vehicle parking area. This is a Judged Show, with categories determined by the number and types of vehicles that enter the show, with 25 trophies awarded across the categories. There will be 4 top awards for Best in Show, Dealer’s Choice, VFW VA District 2 Choice and Best Club Participation. Vendor spaces are available for a $25.00 fee. This allows you space for a 10x10 shelter and table setup, along the front of the show lot. This is a very busy show so vendors are urged to attend. Tidewater Sports Car Club (TSCC)
Founded in Norfolk Virginia in 1953, TSCC has a strong foundation within the local Hampton Roads autocross community and surrounding areas. Our autocross season runs from March through November with championship series events typically taking place on the 3rd Sunday of the month. We usually host a novice autocross school early in the season on the Saturday before our Sunday event. This is a great opportunity for new participants to get involved with autocross. We also host higher speed time trials at regional tracks such as North Carolina Center for Automotive Research.
