Fri, May 6 - Middle Peninsula Classic Cruisers: Let’s Talk Cars, Truck, & Motorcycles, 5:30 pm, Main Street Center, Gloucester. Yes, MPCC has moved the cruise-in back to FRIDAY! The cruise-in is from 6 pm to 30 minutes after dusk Friday nights to October 14, 2016. Donations of $1.00 or more is asked to help support the donations MPCC provides to local organizations and charities. The cruise-in is open at all makes, models, and years. N2 offers a 5% discount for all patrons during the times of the events. We have had good turnouts in the past with no incidents but we still ask that there is no excessive revving, no burnouts, no loud music, and please pick up after yourselves. Parking is in the grass but they freshly cut it for us so that its nice and short.

Pre-cruise activities from 10 am to 12:30 pm. The cruise will depart Eggheads Diner at 2 pm and proceed north on Route 17 to Main Street, through the Courthouse Circle to Route 17, then south on Route 17 to the Home Depot parking lot at 6921 Walton Lane, Gloucester.

Monsters are taking over the beach at Chevrolet Monsters on the Beach, presented by Pungo Off Road! This wildly-popular event brings thrills and chills to the Virginia Beach oceanfront as monster trucks battle for ultimate sand domination! This family-targeted event is loud, fast, and exciting. A course is built right on the beach at 6th Street, with bleachers overlooking from the boardwalk. Sand dunes and junk cars combine to make the race course fast and fun for drivers and spectators alike. This is a ticketed event, with prices designed to fit the family budget. Sat, May 7 - 2016 8th Annual Shake Rattle & Roll Spring Car Show, Downtown Suffolk, 10:00 am - 3:00 pm, Historic Main Street corridor of Downtown Suffolk.  Registration opens at 7:30 am and concludes at 10:00 am. Awards announced at 2:00 pm. Live music, food and vendors. The Shake Rattle & Roll Spring Car Show has expanded its vehicle criteria to include all pre-1979 vehicles. Also, race cars are welcome (exempt from judging) but they must be drive-able as no trailers will be permitted to park on the street. $25, the first 200 registrants receive a dash plaque, commemorative gift and goodie bag. This event is to raise awareness to the “Stop The 22” organization, and to let vets and active military members know there is help. And what better way to do so than with our passions? Cars, people. Sat/Sun, June 4/5 - Summerfest 2016 2-Day Open Track Event, North Carolina Center for Automotive Research (NCCAR Inc.),310 Technology Dr., Garysburg, North Carolina. Capital Ford of Rocky Mount, the Virginia Section of Mercedes-Benz Club America (MBCA) and Apex Track Events will host a High Speed Driving Event on the NCCAR’s road course. This road course is ideally situated and features a 40 feet wide bi-directional freshly paved road course with a ½ mile straightaway, 11 constant radius turns and large grassy run-off areas. There is no competition for times or trophies but a lot of fun to be had. Virtually any car is fully capable of handling this type of event. You must have a valid driver’s license to attend. You will be able to download a technical inspection form that your personal mechanic will perform before you leave home. All you need to bring is this and a Snell SA2010 or later helmet.  We will have a handful of loaner helmets available at a first come, first served basis. We will have an at track safety inspection at the hotel on Friday night and at the track on Saturday and Sunday morning.  (You will only have to get your car teched one time for the weekend so if you get teched on Saturday, you will not have to be re-teched on Sunday. This event is open to all makes and models and you do not have to be a MBCA club member to participate. There will be a weekend of track time and classroom instruction with 4 to 5 sessions lasting 20-25 minutes per day in a non-timed HPDE set up. Car sharing is allowed with separate registration for each driver. This event is sure to sell out so you should register soon. The price for the two-day weekend event at the race track is $299. And the price for a one day (either Saturday or Sunday) is only $169.

Tidewater Sports Car Club (TSCC)
Founded in Norfolk Virginia in 1953, TSCC has a strong foundation within the local Hampton Roads autocross community and surrounding areas. Our autocross season runs from March through November with championship series events typically taking place on the 3rd Sunday of the month.  We usually host a novice autocross school early in the season on the Saturday before our Sunday event.  This is a great opportunity for new participants to get involved with autocross.  We also host higher speed time trials at Academi and North Carolina Center for Automotive Research.

Virginia Motor Speedway runs on select Saturday nights April through the first week of October, Closed on RIR NASCAR weekends (check website for schedule of events).

Dominion Raceway & Entertainment, Thornburg, VA
Representing a new model for Motorsports facilities and Entertainment venues. Dominion Raceway & Entertainment is a multipurpose facility located on “America’s Main Street”, I-95. Located between Washington DC and Richmond VA the complex includes: a two-mile road course, a 4/10ths mile paved NASCAR oval, 1/8th mile drag strip, festival concert venue and more. Our 36,600 square foot building will include meeting space, hospitality and a full service kitchen and bar.
