This will be a regular Friday occurrence as long as weather permits.

This is a great way to meet new friends, get your car/truck out of winter storage and have some fun. We will meet at Greenbrier Mall at 0930 in front of the old Sears, with a departure at 1000 for our destination. Come with a full tank of fuel. This trip will be approximately 2 hours one way to our destination. We will divide up into groups of 5-7 cars with a lead car who is responsible for that group. Drivers will hone in their skills while having an instructor guide them through basic Drift Training. Bring a pad & paper; you're going back to school! One on one instructor time provides NOVICES a chance to fire away question at our instructors/advanced drivers! No question is a bad question, so ask away! Get taught the basics and fundamentals of Drifting and drift car up-keep! Utilizing our main SPIRIT CIRCUIT, AND our Skid Pad Sessions layout, we bring to you the MOST seat time of any of our events! 1 full circuit, 2 mini-circuits, 2 figure 8 pads and 3 donuts pads plus advanced instruction will help YOU learn to DRIFT! You do not have to be a Mustang owner in order to participate in the event but if you want to drive on track over the weekend, you must be a member of one of these two clubs. Sat-Sun, Mar 28-29 / ApexFest 8 Track Weekend / NCCAR, 310 Technology Dr., Garysburg, NC - Apex Track Events and SCMC will host our High Speed Driving Event called ApexFest 8! This event is open to all makes and models and you do not have to be a club member to participate. There will be a full day of track time and classroom instruction with 4-5 sessions in a non-timed HPDE set up. Car sharing is allowed with separate registration for each driver. This event will fill very quickly, so you will need to place your entry soon. The price for this fun at the race track is $179 for one day or only $299 for both days! Instructors will be able to track for no charge. All we ask is that you help one novice student and one intermediate student. Driving History/Experience will be verified for all Instructors. All skill levels are welcome from beginner to track veteran. We split drivers up into 4 experience groups: One of the four groups will be dedicated to novice students who will be required to have in car instructors. You will get up to 5 sessions per day with time between to cool down your car and socialize with other drivers. This also includes classroom instruction and in car instruction for Novice and some Intermediate drivers. You must have a valid driver's license to attend. You will be able to download a technical inspection form that your personal mechanic will perform before you leave home. All you need to bring is this and a Snell SA2010 or later helmet.
Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) - Old Dominion Region
Part of the SCCA's Southeast Division (SEDiv), which consists of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. Our Region includes all of the cities in the Hampton Roads area as well as several surrounding cities. We primarily host two types of events: Solo (Auto Cross) and Road Rally.

Tidewater Sports Car Club (TSCC)
Founded in Norfolk Virginia in 1953, TSCC has a strong foundation within the local Hampton Roads autocross community and surrounding areas. Our autocross season runs from March through November with championship series events typically taking place on the 3rd Sunday of the month. We usually host a novice autocross school early in the season on the Saturday before our Sunday event. This is a great opportunity for new participants to get involved with autocross. We also host higher speed time trials at regional tracks such as North Carolina Center for Automotive Research.

National Auto Sport Association (NASA) Mid-Atlantic
Founded in 2000, we are an autosport events company servicing the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States. Our goal is to provide a variety of legal, organized, safety-minded road-racing and education-based high performance driving experiences for as many sports car enthusiasts as possible.

A ½-mile clay surface with 14 degree banking in both corners and 4 degrees on the front and back stretch. Divisions: Victory Lap Late Model, Truckin Thunder Sportsman, Budweiser Modifieds, Limited Stock Car, Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, World of Outlaws Late Models, World of Outlaws Sprint Cars and mud bogs. Virginia Motor Speedway runs on select Saturday nights April through the first week of October, Closed on RIR NASCAR weekends (check website for schedule of events).

"The Toughest Short Track in the South," Chesterfield County's favorite family-friendly venue! Locally owned and operated, Southside Speedway has been a fixture in Chesterfield County since 1959. With a paved 1/3 mile oval track located on Genito Road, and featuring races from six different divisions including Late Models, Modifieds, Grand Stocks, UCARs, Legends and Bandoleros. The speedway draws drivers both locally and throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

Known as America's Premier Short Track, RIR offers great night racing action and a commitment to the fan experience. One of the most popular facilities among drivers and fans in all of motorsports, Richmond International Raceway annually hosts two NASCAR Doubleheader weekends, featuring the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and NASCAR Nationwide Series, under the lights on a ¾-mile D-Shaped oval. Representing a new model for Motorsports facilities and Entertainment venues. Dominion Raceway & Entertainment is a multipurpose facility located on "America's Main Street", I-95. Located between Washington DC and Richmond VA the complex includes: a two-mile road course, a 4/10ths mile paved NASCAR oval, 1/8th mile drag strip, festival concert venue and more. Our 36,600 square foot building includes meeting space, hospitality and a full service kitchen and bar.
