Wed, May 3 - Franklin Cruise-In, 5 - 8:00 pm (until sundown), Main Street parking lot, 115 S. Main Street, Franklin. Every Wed thru September 6th. This is a family friendly environment for everyone. Free to all participants and spectators. Free entry to win $3000 in prize money. We will have 3 classes of vehicles at registration. Under 1972 cars and trucks; 1972 and newer cars and trucks; Motorcycle (2 and 3 wheeled vehicles). One ticket per vehicle/per class given each week for a chance to win the Grand Finale Prize Money. Middle Peninsula Classic Cruisers presents Let’s Talk Cars cruise-ins on Friday Nights from April 21 to October 13, 2017. Sat, May 6 - The Classic Cruiser’s cruise-in, Coastal Community Church, 5 to 9:00 pm, 101 Village Avenue, Yorktown. Takes place every Saturday night beginning April 22 thru October 14. It is open to all years, all makes, and all models. If it’s cool, bring it. It is only a $2.00 donation to show your vehicle. There is no admission fee for spectators. All cruise-in donations are donated to charity. It is a great place to listen to some great tunes played by our DJs, look at some great rides, see your old friends, and make some new ones. Sat, May 13 - Costco CHKD Car Meet/Fundraiser, 8 - 11:30 pm, Costco Newport News, 12121 Jefferson Ave., Newport News. It’s that time of year again folks. 3rd year in a row. We invite everybody in the car/bike community to come out and show off your rides and just hang out and chat it up. Just like last time all we are asking is for a cash donation. Costco will be matching everything dollar for dollar. Tell your friends. Meet starts at 8 pm in the Newport News Costco parking lot until 11 pm/Midnight depending on attendance and behavior. Only a few rules: Please no burn outs, excessive revving, speeding in parking area; Please place all trash in cans or take it with you. If this one is as successful as last 2 years we will do a second one later this month. Donate, donate, donate.

Sat, May 20 - Free Drive-In Movie: “Honey I Shrunk the Kids”, Bennett’s Creek Park, On Saturday, May 20 Bennett’s Creek Park will have two screens set up to show the classic 80’s movie  "Honey I Shrunk the Kids.“ Viewers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to relax on while they watch the movie. Two concession areas will be available with food and treats. No outside food or drinks will be allowed at the movie viewing, the city said. Pets are welcome with their owners as long as they are on a leash when outside a vehicle. The park will open at 6 pm for parking and activities for children to celebrate National Kids to Parks Day. The movie will start at 8:15 pm. Bennett’s Creek Park will be closed to guests from 4-6 pm to prepare for the event. 
Sun, May 21 - Spring Cookout and Open Meet Up, Hosted by East Coast Family Organization, 11:00 am - 4:00 pm, Northside Park, 8445 Tidewater Dr., Norfolk. Join the East Coast Family for the spring session of our community - cookout. This is open to all car/truck/bike enthusiasts and clubs. We ask you to bring something to share, or purchase a wristband for $3 to access food and drinks. We will have club games for the adults, as well as plenty of kid’s activities to keep our families occupied. Be sure to bring chairs and a shade tent for your club. This will be a drama free zone! No revving, No burnouts, No Ass-Hattery.
Fri, May 26 - Night Moves 2017 Meet, Virginia Beach Sportsplex and Regional Training Center, 7 - 10:00 pm, 2044 Landstown Centre Way, Virginia Beach. Sumospeed presents season 3 of Night Moves meets at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex. As with last year, there will be an entry cover of $5.00 for the meet. This helps us cover rental of the property, bathrooms, and other features of the event. For 2017 we again will have Dj El Capone playing music each night, HobbyTown USA Virginia Beach VA on site each month with some RC drift action and of course Sumospeed with event merchandise for you to purchase. Chops Creative will be there yet again for our official Night Moves coverage this season. The same rules apply as last season: No revving, No speeding or burnouts in the parking lot, No excessively loud music or bass, Clean up after yourselves, we are all adults, No alcohol. If you have any questions or concerns about the above conditions, VBPD will be on hand to address them. We will also be adding a new feature this year, in which you can enter your vehicle into a contest each month, to be our feature vehicle of the month, and win free entry for the night as well as VIP parking on the sidewalk in front of the sportsplex! A charity event in the DC-metro area that raises money for the Fisher House Foundation. Tidewater Sports Car Club (TSCC)
Founded in Norfolk Virginia in 1953, TSCC has a strong foundation within the local Hampton Roads autocross community and surrounding areas.
